Terms & Conditions

By entering the awards scheme, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Promotional materials relating to the awards scheme, including all information on how to enter, form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

Eligibility

  • UK residents aged 18+ only.

  • Entrants must be professional hair, beauty, or aesthetics business owners.

  • Entrants must have valid insurance and be able to produce documents upon request.

  • Entrants must have internet access and preferably a public Instagram account.

Personal Information (GDPR) and Data Use

  1. Accuracy of Information
    All personal details and information provided at the point of order, registration, entry, or otherwise must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading. The BAA Team reserves the right to disqualify entrants who provide inaccurate or misleading details.

  2. Data Provided & How It Is Used
    Any personal information provided to The BAA Team (including name, preferred name, business name, address, email, social media profile, or other data) will be kept secure and used only in accordance with the Awards Scheme Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions.

    Entrants acknowledge that their information may be used by The BAA Team and its suppliers to:

    • administer the awards scheme

    • conduct judging

    • publish finalist announcements

    • contact entrants about awards-related matters

  3. Use of Names for Judging and Finalist Announcements

    • Where an official entry form is completed and a preferred name or business name is specified, The BAA Team will use this name for all announcements and publications.

    • Where no entry form is submitted, The BAA Team will use the name provided at the point of order, along with any publicly available information needed for judging.

    • If no preferred or business name is supplied, entrants accept that the default name on the order or registration will be used for finalist announcements and promotional materials.

  4. Failure to Provide a Preferred Name
    If an entrant does not submit a preferred or business name during the official entry process, The BAA Team cannot be held liable for using the default information supplied.
    Retrospective objections cannot override data already used in line with these Terms.

  5. Formal Communication Requirements
    For data-related requests, corrections, name changes, or withdrawal from publicity, entrants must contact The BAA Team by email only.
    WhatsApp messages, SMS, or social media DMs (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) are not recognised as formal or valid communication channels.

Use of Entry Content

  1. The BAA Team shall own all copyright and intellectual property rights in entries and materials (visual, written, or oral) generated during the awards scheme, worldwide and in perpetuity, including use in advertising, social media, press releases, websites, newsletters, and promotional activity.

  2. Entrants assign these rights to The BAA Team and irrevocably waive any moral rights (including name, location, and age) under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or otherwise.

Limitation of Liability

  1. Neither The BAA Team nor associated agencies or suppliers will be liable for any loss, injury, disappointment, or damage arising from participation in the awards except in cases of death or personal injury resulting from The BAA Team’s negligence.

  2. No compensation for loss of earnings will be paid for participation in any stage of the awards.

Social Media Platform Terms

  1. By entering the awards, entrants accept these Terms and the Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, and Community Standards of Facebook and Instagram. Non-compliant entries may be disqualified.

  2. This scheme is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Instagram. Entrants release both platforms from any liability relating to their participation.

General Terms

  1. The BAA Team’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  2. The BAA Team reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the awards at any stage due to unforeseen circumstances or suspected fraudulent activity.

  3. English law applies. The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Payments

  • Payments are processed securely via third-party provider Stripe.

  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Refund requests must be received within 21 days of the event and will be reviewed with no guarantee of reimbursement.

  • All tickets and entries are final and cannot be refunded or transferred.

Data Collection – Awards Registration

  • All attendees must register online or at the event to attend.

  • Mandatory questions must be completed to allow The BAA Team to understand attendee demographics and event requirements.

  • The BAA Team may contact registrants with relevant event information, updates, schedules, exhibitor content, sponsor information, and education.
