Beauty & Aesthetics Awards Terms & Conditions
By entering the Beauty & Aesthetics Awards, purchasing a ticket, or attending an Awards event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Any entry guidance, eligibility criteria, judging information and other official information published by the Beauty & Aesthetics Awards (“BAA”) forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Where there is any conflict, these Terms and Conditions will take precedence.
Eligibility and Entries
- Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
- Entrants must meet the eligibility requirements of the category entered.
- Where applicable, entrants must hold valid professional insurance and provide evidence upon request.
- All information and evidence submitted must be genuine, accurate and relate to the entrant or business named in the entry.
- BAA reserves the right to request supporting evidence to verify eligibility, qualifications, insurance, business activity or information contained within an entry.
- Entries containing false, misleading, altered or unverifiable information may be disqualified.
- It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure their submission is complete and received by the published deadline.
- Entry fees are non-refundable once an entry has been submitted, except where required by law.
Judging
Entries will be assessed in accordance with the judging process and criteria set by BAA.
Judging decisions are based on the evidence and information available to the judging panel at the time of assessment.
BAA may carry out reasonable verification checks where necessary.
Judges are required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and may be removed from judging a particular entrant or category where appropriate.
Judging decisions are final. BAA is not required to enter into correspondence regarding individual scores, rankings or the outcome of judging.
BAA reserves the right to withhold an award where entries do not meet the required standard or eligibility requirements.
Personal Information and Data
All information supplied during registration, purchase or entry must be accurate and not misleading.
Personal information will be processed in accordance with BAA’s Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Information may be used where necessary to:
- administer entries and ticket purchases
- verify eligibility
- conduct judging
- communicate with entrants and attendees
- administer the event
- publish shortlists, finalists and winners
- issue certificates, trophies and other awards
- promote the Beauty & Aesthetics Awards and future Awards events
Names and Business Names
Where an entrant provides a preferred name or business name on their official entry form, BAA will use that information wherever reasonably practicable.
Where no preferred name or business name has been provided, BAA may use the name supplied during registration or purchase.
Entrants are responsible for checking that names, business names and other information submitted to BAA are correct.
BAA cannot guarantee that previously published or produced materials can be amended retrospectively.
Corrections and Data Requests
Requests concerning personal data, corrections to names or other formal changes must be sent to:

Messages sent through WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, Facebook or other social media platforms should not be relied upon as formal notification of a data correction or request.
Entry Content, Photographs and Promotional Use
Entrants retain ownership of copyright in material they submit to BAA.
By submitting an entry, entrants grant BAA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and publish submitted material where reasonably required to administer, judge and promote the Awards.
This may include use on BAA websites, social media, email communications, press releases and promotional materials.
Entrants must have the necessary permission to submit and authorise the use of photographs, videos, testimonials and other third-party material contained within their entry.
BAA may also use photographs and video captured at its events for legitimate promotional and marketing purposes, subject to applicable law.
Tickets and Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
Ticket prices and any applicable payment terms will be displayed at the point of purchase.
Tickets are issued for the event stated on the booking and may not be resold for commercial gain.
Except where these Terms state otherwise or where required by applicable consumer law, ticket purchases are non-refundable.
BAA reserves the right to refuse admission where a ticket has been obtained fraudulently, duplicated, unlawfully resold or otherwise used in breach of these Terms.
Cancellation, Postponement and Rescheduling
BAA reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, relocate, alter or cancel an event where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or where required for the safe and proper operation of the event.
Where an event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will normally be transferred automatically to the replacement date.
Where a ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled date, any entitlement to a refund will be dealt with in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the booking.
Where an event is cancelled without a replacement date, BAA will communicate the applicable ticket arrangements to ticket holders.
BAA will not be responsible for independently arranged travel, accommodation, parking or other associated costs incurred by attendees as a result of cancellation, postponement, relocation or rescheduling, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Attendees are strongly advised to book flexible or refundable travel and accommodation wherever possible.
Changes to the Event
BAA may make reasonable changes to the event programme, timings, speakers, judges, hosts, entertainment, suppliers, seating arrangements or other event content where necessary.
Such changes will not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund where the main event continues to take place as advertised.
Attendance and Conduct
BAA reserves the right to refuse admission or require an attendee to leave where their behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe, disruptive or likely to negatively affect the safety or enjoyment of others.
No refund will normally be provided where an attendee is refused admission or removed because of their own conduct.
Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings while attending the event.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to applicable law, BAA will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from participation in the Awards or attendance at the event.
BAA does not reimburse loss of earnings arising from entry, judging, attendance or participation in the Awards.
Social Media
The Beauty & Aesthetics Awards is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Facebook unless expressly stated otherwise.
Entrants and attendees remain responsible for complying with the applicable rules and terms of any social media platform they use.
Event Registration and Communications
Attendees may be required to complete registration information before attending the event.
BAA may use registration information to administer the event and provide essential information including schedules, venue information, safety information and event updates.
Where permitted by applicable data protection and marketing law, BAA may also provide information relating to sponsors, exhibitors, future events and relevant BAA services.
General
BAA reserves the right to amend these Terms where reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to the Awards, event arrangements, legal requirements or circumstances outside BAA’s reasonable control.
Any material changes affecting existing entrants or ticket holders will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights a consumer may have regarding jurisdiction or applicable law.
